'OUT OF THE RUINS' on tour
Local musical duo, ‘Out of the Ruins’, are breaking out of their usual heritage settings, this Sunday 5th October, to bring music to the people of Goole. From 12pm, outside Goole Morrisons, Out of the Ruins’ will be playing some incredible jazz/gospel/blues hits to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust & Yorkshire Cancer Research.
The musical duo, Rebekah & her Dad John, are probably best known for their heritage conservation, archaeology, and youth/school outreach with Dream Heritage, but… they actually are incredibly talented musically too! They started performing together over this last year, playing at The Miss England Finals at Viva Blackpool & The Grand Station Wolverhampton; Big Church Festival at the Wiston Estate in West Sussex; at The We Do Ethical Kitchen Opening in Bournemouth; and at the ruins of Beaurepaire Medieval Manor House.
From rebuilding the ruins with stones & mortar, to bringing music & stories of hope & restoration to the big stage & various churches and heritage sites across the country, this duo has broken ‘Out of the Ruins’!
Why not come along and hear them live?

'MAKE YOUR MARK':
A unique opportunity to explore vandalism and graffiti through the ages
We hope to re-story vandalism and heritage crime at Howden Minster by exploring both ancient & modern vandalism, cultures, and graffiti. That's why we will be there at this year's Howden Art4All event organised by Goddards. Running on the 7th and 8th June at various locations across Howden, the event hopes to rekindle creativity and showcase the best of local talent. With demonstrations, stalls, cafe, music, and give-it-a-go sessions, it promises to be a brillaint event!
We'll be in Howden Minster, creating some impressive art installations on the day, all on the topic of vandalism and 'leaving your mark', and exploring whether we should or shouldn't leave a mark on the world around us, and what that mark should look like!

An incredible day is to be expected on Sunday 1st June, as the local community come together at Picnic In The Park! The volunteers behind the event have worked hard to secure incredible music & activities for the day, and we can't wait to see lots of local people enjoy the day! Events like these really are the 'heart-beat' of the community!
Fancy volunteering? On the day you are invited to litter-pick at your leisure, to keep the park spic-and-span the whole day. The litter-bug trailer provided by us at Dream Heritage will be there all day, so just grab a pair of gloves, a picker & a bag, and GIVE BACK to your community.

FRIENDS OF WEST PARK are a group of local people who have come together to deliver, host & steward events at West Park in Goole. Their events welcome thousands of people every year, and their commitment and effort two serve their community is admirable. We at Dream Heritage, think they are great, and do hope you might consider popping along to one of their events in the future!
Howdenshire Music has gone from strength to strength over the years, inviting world-class musicians to the atmospheric ambience of Howden Minster, Howden, East Yorkshire. There are still some incredible free concerst to enjoy this June & July, so make sure you get the date fixed in your diaries!
Weardale Methodist Church took a courageous step to not just remain open, but to step into a new future for their church congregation & buildings. Instead of seeing their incredible assets as 'mill stones around their necks', they are seeing, dreaming & using their assets to bless & serve their local community. It's exciting to hear about their Community Garden, the re-launch of the Root & Branch Cafe there, their warm space, and different events/crafts/activities taking place there. WATCH THIS SPACE!
Howden Shire Hall, Howden, E. Yorkshire, was a building built to serve the community and is an incredible community space and music/arts venue. There is a hard-working and dedicated team of volunteers behind its events, and they have a great weekend planned for the end of May/start of June!
